Abstract: Aeroacoustic tonal noise, often caused by self-excited flow oscillations, represents a significant challenge in various engineering applications. One prominent example is the cavity tone, responsible for undesirable sound emissions from gaps found on the surfaces of vehicles, door gaps, and pantographs of trains.
