Abstract:Background
Ventilator-induced lung injury (VILI) is a common complication of mechanical ventilation under general anesthesia. Regular aerobic exercise before surgery improves postoperative recovery and reduces postoperative pulmonary complications, but the mechanism driving this protective effect is unclear.
