Abstract:Galloping-based piezoelectric wind energy harvesters (WEHs) are being used to supply renewable electricity for self-powered devices. This paper investigates the performance of a galloping-based piezoelectric WEH, with different arc-plate-shaped bluff bodies to improve harvesting efficiency. The Latin hypercube sampling method was employed to design the experiment. After conducting a series of wind tunnel tests, a Kriging surrogate model was then established, with high accuracy. The results show that the wind e… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
