Aeromicrobium chenweiae sp. nov. and Aeromicrobium yanjiei sp. nov., isolated from Tibetan antelope (Pantholops hodgsonii) and plateau pika (Ochotona curzoniae), respectively

Abstract: Four novel strains (592T, S592, MF47T and SMF47) were isolated from Tibetan antelopes (Pantholops hodgsonii) and plateau pikas (Ochotona curzoniae), respectively. The cells were aerobic, non-motile, Gram-stain- and catalase-positive, rod-shaped bacteria. The 16S rRNA gene sequences of the four strains showed highest similarities to Aeromicrobium fastidiosum DSM 10552T (98.1, 98.6, 98.7 and 98.7 %, respectively), and the phy… Show more

“…On the other hand, the only dDDH value was shown to be 32.5 % in an A. chenweiae–A. yanjiei pair in a previous work [2]. In this study, 16S rRNA gene sequence similarity and ANI values between these two type strains were 99.5 and 87.2 %, respectively.…”

“…chenweiae DSM 106289 T showed negative results for acid production from l -arabinose, cellobiose, d -lyxose, d -mannitol and d -xylose, and A. ginsengisoli KCTC 19207 T showed negative results for acid production from d -lyxose and d -mannitol, in contrast to those reported previously [2]. Strain YC3-14 T was differentiated from both A.…”

“…Among quite a few novel isolates recovered from faecal samples of Tibetan antelope (TA), plateau pika and Himalayan marmot in our laboratory, Aeromicrobium chenweiae [17], Actinomyces wuliandei [18], Corynebacterium liangguodongii [18], Corynebacterium yudongzhengii [18], Oceanobacillus zhaokaii [18] and Cellulomonas shaoxiangyii [19], all isolated from TA, were validly published in 2020. In a continuation of our studies on the microbial diversity of endemic animals on the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau, four new strains, also isolated from the TA faeces, were subjected to further taxonomic identification.…”
