Abstract:Silicon has been investigated as promising anode materials in lithium-ion batteries due to its high theoretical specific capacity. Nonetheless, high-capacity Si nanoparticles succumb to limited electrical conductivity, drastic volume change, and harsh aggregation upon cycling.
