Aftertreatment Technologies: State‐of‐the‐Art and Emerging Technologies

Abstract

In recent years increasing attention has been paid to the emissions from gasoline diesel engines. Meeting the emission levels imposed by legislation requires the development of a number of critical technologies to fulfill these very stringent limits. This article is focused on these innovative technologies with special reference to catalytic reactors for carbon monoxide ( CO ), hydrocarbons ( HC ), oxides of nitrogen (NO x ), particulate matter ( PM ), removals for gasoline and diesel engines.
