Abstract:It is known that low electron-hole separation efficiency is the major disadvantage influencing low photoactivity of the UV-active ZnO photocatalyst. To solve this drawback, the excellent fabrication technique has been used to disperse silver metal on ZnO surface. In this study, an addition of silver content up to 15 wt% was carried out. The 5Ag-ZnO sample, comprising 5 wt% of silver metal, displayed a hexagonal wurtzite structure, and a band gap of 3.00 eV, with high sunlight-active photocatalytic performance … Show more
“…For one, we suggest a well-known mechanism based on visible light. 65–68 The proposed mechanisms are shown below:Xanthene dyes + hν + xanthene dyes*GSH@Ag NCs + hν → (e − ) + h + (e − CB + h + VB )(O 2 ) ads + (e − CB ) → (O 2 ˙ − ) ads …”

“…For one, we suggest a wellknown mechanism based on visible light. [65][66][67][68] The oxidation of O 2 and OH radical could start a series of oxidation dyes degradation reactions for the absorbance of dye molecules.…”
Silver nanocluster protected by natural tripeptide ligand (GSH@Ag NCs) were constructed for photo-catalyst dye degradation in this study. The ultra-small GSH@Ag NCs were found to exhibit remarkably high degradation. Aqueous...

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
