“…In a typical hydrothermal growth process, ZnO nanoplates (NPls) were fabricated using a method reported previously. 27 ZnO nanoplates decorated with Ag nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were prepared following brief instructions. 60 mg of ZnO NPl powder was dispersed in 20 mL of deionized water in a beaker (50 mL) under moderate magnetic stirring for 15 minutes.…”

“…A similar dependence of photolysis efficiency on the amount of Ag loading has been documented previously. 26 The photolysis efficiency of Ag/ZnO undergoes the smaller amount of Ag on the ZnO surface. Because of the less accumulation of some small particles, the dispersion of Ag usually decreases with the increase in load.…”

“…In addition, zinc oxide/gold (silver) heterostructures with plasmonic-enhanced photoelectrochemical activity also were used for photoelectrochemical hydrogen generation [ 19 , 20 ]. On the basis of heterodimeric composites, sensor systems were created [ 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 , 25 , 26 ]. Moreover, synthesis of ZnO nanostructures and their functionalization by Au nanoparticles for improved photocatalytic and high performance Li-ion battery anodes were carried out [ 27 ].…”
