et al.

Abstract: Breeding programs rely on light wavelength, intensity, and photoperiod for rapid success. In this study, we investigated the ability of Ag/ZnO nanoparticles (NPs) to improve the photosynthesis and growth of wheat under simulated full solar spectrum conditions. The world population is increasing rapidly, it is necessary to increase the number of crops in order to ensure the world’s food security. Conventional breeding is time-consuming and expensive, so new techniques such as rapid breeding are needed. Rapid br… Show more

“…Arti cial control of environmental factors to shorten crop growth cycles is an effective means of promoting plant growth. Under full blue light conditions, the growth of wheat seedling roots, chlorophyll accumulation, and crop growth are all unfavorable, but they are bene cial for the accumulation of carotenoids 32 . For r seedlings, high blue light ratio spectra can promote their growth and biomass but reduce the length of their roots 26 .…”

“…Recently, various metal-based ENMs, including nanoparticles (NPs) like ZnO NPs, Fe NPs, Ag NPs, and Ag/ZnO NPs have demonstrated potential in enhancing seed germination rates (SGR) even under stressful conditions. ZnO NPs, in particular, have emerged as highly applicable ENMs in agriculture. , Zinc, a vital micronutrient, plays a crucial role in supporting optimal plant growth by facilitating processes, such as synthesis of photosynthetic pigments, cell division, and overall plant development .…”
