Abstract: The main objective of the present work is to develop Floating Effervescent matrix tablets of Ranitidine hydrochloride using different polymers viz. hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose (HPMC), Xanthan gum and Guar gum. Varying ratios of drug and polymer like 1:0.6 and 1:1 were selected for the study.
