Abstract:This work presents a game-theoretic approach to address the problem of coordination and scheduling of aircraft at intersections, with the goal of avoiding conflicts and potential collisions. The proposed algorithm enables simple agents to work together in a way that leads to cooperative behaviors, resulting in equilibria that improve the overall efficiency of the system. The researchers tested and compared the game-theoretic approach with a centralized approach, specifically First-Come-First-Serve (FCFS), usin… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
