Abstract: Due to the presence of unpaired electron orbitals in most lanthanide ions, lanthanide‐doped nanoparticles (LnNPs) exhibit paramagnetism. However, as to biosensing applications, the magnetism of LnNPs is so weak that can hardly be employed in target separation.
