The extraction of natural red dye (PR) from the flower Papaver rhoeas (common poppy) and its adsorption on montmorillonite clay (PR@MM) was reported. The powder PR@MM was used for the development and visualization of LFPs taken on common household, nonporous, and colored surfaces in daylight using powder dusting method without any pre‐ or posttreatment and equipment. The information of level 1 (ridge classification) and level 2 (minutiae details) from the fingerprint can be obtained using PR@MM powder.
