Aging-Related Endothelial Progenitor Cell Dysfunction and Its Association with IL-17 and IL-23 in HFmrEF Patients

Abstract: Background. Aging is an independent risk factor for heart failure (HF), and endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) function decreases with aging. Zeng et al 39 showed that compared with younger patients, plasma IL‐17 and IL‐23 levels could be increased in older patients with HFmrEF and were closely related to disease severity and circulating endothelial progenitor cell function.
