Abstract:Phenotypic characterization of crop genetic resources generates important information for plant breeders. The genetic diversity of Tanzanian pigeonpea germplasm was assessed using qualitative and quantitative traits and the best and complementary parents were identified for use in a pigeonpea breeding program.
