Abstract:The assessment of the cognitive workload experienced by air traffic controllers is a complex and prominent issue in the research community. This study introduces new indicators related to gamma waves to detect controllers’ workload and develops experimental protocols to capture their EEG data and NASA-TXL data. Then, statistical tests, including the Shapiro–Wilk test and ANOVA, were used to verify whether there was a significant difference between the workload data of the controllers in different scenarios.
