Abstract: Alanine aminotransferase (ALT) serum levels increase because of hepatocellular damage. Metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease (MAFLD), which identifies steatotic liver disease (SLD) associated with ≥ 2 metabolic abnormalities, has prominent sexual differences.
