“…The simplest gallotaninnin, glucogallic acid (7), with molecular formula of C 13 H 16 O 10 and precursor [M-H] − , ion at m / z 331 was found in almost all, besides water extracts. The prominent fragment ions at m / z 169, 125 corresponded to the gallic acid fragmentation, while fragments at m / z 313, 271, 241 and 211 originated from cross-ring fragmentation of a glucose molecule and were consistent with literature data [ 46 , 48 ]. Similar product ions were observed in the MS/MS spectra of compound 13 ( m / z 483) identified in two polar (methanolic and aqueous) extracts.…”

“…Quercetin (48) was identified in all studies extracts in 30.914 min, on the basis of a typical for this structure fragment ions mentioned above. For compounds 37, 38 and 41 the typical for hexosides (both for glucosides and galactosides) and glucoronides neutral loss of 162 and 176 Da from precursor ion was observed in MS/MS spectra, respectively.…”

“…In consistent with a previous report, the ethanolic extract of A. myriophylla wood inhibited the release of nitric oxide production with IC 50 value of 13.8 µg/ml [17]. In another study, methanolic extract from leaves of A. anthelmintica revealed antiinflammatory activity by decreasing the production of inflammatory mediators, PGE2 and leukotrienes, via inhibition of COX-1, COX-2, and 5-LOX, with IC 50 values of 4.11, 0.054, and 1.74 µg/ml, respectively [19]. Our findings suggest that the moderate in vitro anti-inflammatory activity of the ethanolic extracts may act mostly through the NO production pathway.…”

“…Most of the phenolic acid derivatives are glycosides, their first stage of fragmentation is the cleavage of the glycosidic bond to produce the m/z of the phenolic acid and the respective neutral mass loss of sugar molecules, and then neutral mass losses of methyl, hydroxyl or carboxylic groups helped to identify the specific phenolic acid. Coumaric acid (2) [18], p-hydroxybenzoic hexoside (3) [19], caffeic acid derivative (4) and ferulic acid derivative (38) [20], trihydroxyursolic acid derivative (7) [24], methoxycinnamic acid hexoside (8) and methoxy benzoic acid hexoside (29) [19], caffeic acid hexoside (9) [25], sinapic acid-3-O-glucoside (25) and its isomer (36) [38], ethyl gallate (28) and its isomer (34) [39], protocatechualdehyde…”
