Abstract: Referral to medically qualified practitionersA doctor who asks another doctor to provide complementary medicine is in the same legal situation as when referring to a doctor for any other services. As long as the decision to make the referral is appropriate, all further responsibility regarding the complementary treatment is taken over by the doctor providing the specialist service.
