“…In another study the imagination ability was operationalized via the reaction time in a mental rotation test, in which both neutral (Hexagram) and affective-loaded (pictures of facial expression) stimuli were used. In both conditions (cognitive vs. affective-loaded) there was no difference in the imagination ability between high and low alexithymic subjects (Czernecka & Szymura, 2008). The authors argued that the mental rotation task may rather capture basic cognitive functions than difficulties in imagination.…”
