The purpose of this research is to examine the German teacher candidates' beliefs about German self-efficacy and their attitudes towards the teaching profession in terms of some variables and determine the correlation between them. The sample of the research is created by preparation class in the fall semester of the 2019-2020 academic year in the Department of German Education of Foreign Languages Education of Ataturk University and candidate teachers who continue their education in the 1.,2.,3. and 4. Class. In this study correlational survey model, which is one of the quantitative research models, was used. In order to collect the data, personal information form, self-efficacy belief scale and attitude scale were applied. In general terms it was observed that there was no difference according to Self-efficacy of German teacher candidates' beliefs and attitudes towards the teaching profession by gender, grade point average, graduate the type of high school attended and the pre-university German course variables. It was observed that there was a significant difference according to the age variable, reading, listening and speaking sub-dimensions and overall. According to the factor of being in a German-speaking country, it was only observed that there was a meaningful difference in speaking sub-dimension. In addition, a positive significant relationship was found between the self-efficacy beliefs of German teacher candidates and their professional attitudes. Candidates' attitudes towards the teaching profession did not differ according to variables. The highest belief in self-efficacy towards reading, writing, listening and speaking sub-dimensions according to the class variable was observed at the 4th grades.
