Abstract:INTRODUCTION: classical ballet contributes to changes in the posture of its practitioners. In dancers, lumbar hyperlordosis has been attributed to weakness in the abdominal musculature and to the emphasis on spinal hyperextension and hip extension, characteristic ballet movements.
