Altered glucocorticoid metabolism represents a feature of macroph‐aging

Abstract: The aging process is characterized by a chronic, low‐grade inflammatory state, termed “inflammaging.” It has been suggested that macrophage activation plays a key role in the induction and maintenance of this state.
