Abstract:An axially substituted aluminum phthalocyanine- [60]fullerene derivative supramolecular dyads have been prepared . For the first time, such structures were evaluated as the type I photosensitizers for photodynamic therapy (PDT). Compared to the native dye, the fluorescence in the obtained compounds is partially quenched and efficiency of si nglet oxygen production is reduced.
