Ambient Air Pollution and Atherosclerosis in Los Angeles

Abstract: Associations have been found between long-term exposure to ambient air pollution and cardiovascular morbidity and mortality. The contribution of air pollution to atherosclerosis that underlies many cardiovascular diseases has not been investigated.
