American Head and Neck Society Endocrine Section clinical consensus statement: North American quality statements and evidence‐based multidisciplinary workflow algorithms for the evaluation and management of thyroid nodules

Abstract: Background Care for patients with thyroid nodules is complex and multidisciplinary, and research demonstrates variation in care. “…We performed US‐FNA on thyroid nodules based on the 2015 American Thyroid Association guidelines for thyroid nodule risk stratification, as is recommended in a recent North American unified workflow consensus for management of thyroid nodules (ACR TIRADS is another option in the same guideline). Decision to perform SUS and US‐FNA on other sites was in keeping with the NCCN guidelines 2018 .…”
