Abstract:We here demonstrate that amine-functionalized hydrophobic
cross-linked
polymer microsphere-supported palladium nanoparticles (Pd/NFHCPs)
are an efficient catalyst for the selective hydrogenation of citral
to citronellal. The R3-N groups in NFHCPs offer abundant
anchoring sites for the dispersion and stabilization of Pd nanoparticles.
In addition, the surface of NFHCPs is lipophilic and hydrophobic,
which is beneficial for mass transformation and diffusion. These characteristics
enable the catalyst to display h… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
