Abstract:A novel three‐component domino reaction between thioisatins, α‐bromoketones, and amines was developed. The reaction with aliphatic amines produced a series of benzothiophene fused pyrrolidones in good yields. Moreover, employment of diamines gave benzothiophene fused polycyclic compounds. In addition, gram‐scale experiments and synthetic transformations on the resulting products were performed.
The exploration of new reactivity modes and synthetic methods has always been an attractive goal of organic and medicinal chemistry. As potential raw materials for the efficient construction of nitrogen-...
A catalyst-free three component domino reaction was developed for the synthesis of benzothiophene fused pyrrolidones bearing a CF3 group for the first time. The notable advantages of this strategy over...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
