“…Reports of iatrogenic telangiectasia are scarce, and only some of these cases were related to photoexposure 2 . Cases of PT have been described with calcium channel blockers (CCBs) such as nifedipine, amlodipine and felodipine, 3–7 cephalosporins such as cefotaxime, 8 selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs), such as escitalopram and venlafaxine 2, 9 and psychotropic drugs such as mirtazapine and levetiracetam 10 …”

“…In most cases, skin lesions arise 1 month to 1 year after drug commencement and disappear 1–2 months after drug withdrawal 5 . In the presence of telangiectasias, several differential diagnoses need to be considered, including liver diseases, hyperoestrogenism, telangiectasia macularis perstans and recurrent eruptive pseudoangiomatosis 2, 6 . The distribution of the lesions and the clinical history suggest a correlation between the telangiectasia onset photoexposure and drug intake.…”

“…Photodistributed telangiectasias are commonly reported after systemic therapies with antibiotics, antidepressants, antiepileptics, antihypertensive or anti‐inflammatory drugs 6‐9 . In the literature, there are no reports of photodistributed telangiectasias secondary to intake of mirtazapine or levetiracetam, probably because of misdiagnosis due to poor knowledge of such reactions.…”
