The five following geographical centers of distribution can be recognized for Archaeoglenini (Iwan et al 2015, Schawaller and Bouchard 2019, Iwan and Raś 2020, Iwan and Rincon 2022: (1) Central America, (2) Hawaii, (3) Southeast Pacific Islands of Asia, Australia, and New Zealand, (4) Japan, (5) the coast of Southeast Africa, Mauritius and Reunion. Due to the lack of phylogenetic data for the tribe, it is currently challenging to evaluate if the distribution within these areas is a result of single adaptive radiation or if they were independent colonization events by different lineages of Archaeoglenini.…”
