Abstract:Neurogenic stunned myocardium (NSM) is a condition wherein a neurologic pathology results in myocardial injury.This is a case of an adult patient who developed intraoperative NSM presenting as hypertension and tachycardiaprogressing to supraventricular tachycardia and ST-elevation during an emergency endoscopic septostomy, biopsy and ventricular peritoneal shunt (VPS) insertion.
