RESUMÉ
Dieases of the lacrimal passages are still common in Northern Norway and in the Eye Department of the Hospital at Bodø dacryo‐cysto‐rhinostomy is the standard method for the treatment of dacryocystitides.
The Dupuy‐Dutemps method with some alteration of the sutures is used.
Altogether 308 cases were followed‐up. Of these 44 were clinically examined and 264 by letter.
A cure was found in 85 per cent.
Each of the clinically examined cases is more fully reported on, and an account is given of a three months old boy who was operated on bilaterally and who is still cured more than a year later.
