“…These models capture system scale behavior in cancer patients and are capable of population level predictions of disease trajectories in response to intervention. On tissuecellular scale, ABMs have been employed and used for spatially explicit simulations to investigate emergent behavior arising from interactions between cancer and immune cells, such as spatial and spatio-temporal variations in tumor morphology and immuno-architecture (Kim et al, 2009;Shi et al, 2014;Wells et al, 2015;Gong et al, 2017;Norton et al, 2017Norton et al, , 2019Pourhasanzade et al, 2017;Hoehme et al, 2018;Ji et al, 2019).
