An Albinic Regenerant of Bambusa bambos in Moist Deciduous Forest of Central Western Ghats

Abstract: Albinism is an important natural event that influences seedling development in most of the tree species, and it is mostly governed by homozygous recessive genes. A survey was conducted to ascertain the natural regeneration status of Bambusa bambos in the established LTI (Long Term Tree Increment) Plot located in Karka range, Dharwad Circle, which had gregarious flowering was observed in 2008-2010.
