As the design of various industrial items for the disabled is associated with a number of complications, requires a great deal of medical and constructive training, all the necessary standards have been studied. These standards relate to the ergonomic requirements of disabled people, the details of problems, as well as the technologies and opportunities needed in industry. The main types of existing wheelchairs are presented. Their advantages and disadvantages have been studied. Attention was also paid to the existing market in the given sphere, taking into account the possible market competition as a result of the project implementation. Due to the constructive, ergonomic-aesthetic study of the devices, a conceptual design of an innovative product in the given eld was developed. The study and usage of all this gives an opportunity to make wheelchairs designed for the disabled, accessible to a wider range of people, as well as ergonomically comfortable, technologically innovative and competitive in the commercial market.
