Abstract: Acute myeloid leukemia (AML) is the second most common type of leukemia in children and accounts for up to 20 % of all leukemias. Allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (allo-HSCT) is an effective, and sometimes the only therapeutic option in high-risk patients with AML.
