Abstract:Inflammasomes, particularly NLRC4, play a crucial role in immune responses to intracellular bacterial infections. However, gain-of-function mutations of NLRC4 are linked to severe autoinflammatory diseases, including autoinflammation with infantile enterocolitis (AIFEC).
