Longitudinal ordinal response data are pervasive and investigating the effect of previous responses along with considering the effect of covariates on the current response need major concern. Hence, to look at the change of response over time, some issues about the choice of transition model, the appropriate order of the transition model, the methods of estimation, and initial condition problem are discussed. Researches toward each of these issues are also mentioned. In the end, two real data sets are analyzed using transition models.
