An assessment of facilities and services at anganwadi centers under the integrated child development service scheme in urban area of Kathua district, Jammu and Kashmir

Abstract: Background: The integrated childhood development services (ICDS) scheme, launched on 2nd November 1975 is India’s foremost program imparting comprehensive and cost-effective services for children and maternal health through designated anganwadi centers (AWCs). “…Early childhood development assessment requires parents and educators to work together to complete the establishment of early childhood archival data and the recording and collection of developmental-behavioral data, and due to the lack of systematic data management methods and corresponding analytical models, a lot of data collected over a long period of time do not give full play to their real role [5].
