An assessment of serial co-cultivation approach for generating novel Zymomonas mobilis strains

Abstract: Objective The alphaproteobacterium Zymomonas mobilis is an efficient ethanol producer. By utilizing its distinctive physiological features, Z. mobilis-based biorefinery shows great potential for large scale industrial biofuel production.
