Abstract:Cryptococcus neoformansis the top-ranked W.H.O. fungal priority pathogen, but tools for generating conditional mutations are limited. Auxin-inducible degron systems permit rapid and effective cellular depletion of a tagged protein of interest upon adding a small molecule.
