Abstract:Herein, the high yielding synthesis of the chiral carbodiphosphorane (3) prepared in a two‐step procedure from commercially available (R)‐BINAP (([1,1′‐binaphthalene]‐2,2′‐diyl)bis(diphenylphosphane), BINAP) and dibromomethane is presented.
