An Easy Way to Synthesize YAG Nanoparticles for Transparent Ceramics via Allegro Vacuum Freeze Drying

Abstract: In this paper, high purity, weak agglomerated, well crystallized and dispersed YAG nanoparticles were prepared by Allegro vacuum freeze drying which included solution preparation, allegro freezing, freeze drying and calcination. The results showed that the precursor directly converted into pure YAG at 900°C and no intermediate phase was found. Considering the crystallinity and dispersion, the best calcination temperature was 1100°C.
