An Educational Training Kit for an Efficient GPS Anti-Jamming System

Abstract: Global positioning system (GPS) is one of the key satellite-based radio technolo-gy providing navigational services on earth or near earth. The increasing usage of GPS applications in daily life has proved that students/researchers of many edu-cational departments including information and communication technology (ICT) are particularly interested to learn and visualize the GPS anti-jamming techniques in a simpler way in their major communication courses. It is a fact that GPS radio signal is vulnerable in var… Show more

“…Initially, an antenna array consisting of two microstrip patch antenna elements has been designed on an EM simulator and integrated with a rat race coupler, as shown in Figure 2. The design principle for patch antenna and rat race coupler can be found in [13,17,18,19]. The simulated scattering parameters (S-parameters) of the antenna array integrated with the coupler are depicted in Figure 6 where reflection loss for ∑ and ∆ ports is -31 dB and -27 dB, respectively, which is less than -10 dB desired value.…”

“…Reducing hardware and computational complexity: Due to usage of THz frequencies in 6G communication systems and massive antenna arrays at RF front-end, the cost of hardware and software will be dramatically increased. It requires to conduct a serious research to provide intelligent techniques to reduce these types of complexities such as those mentioned in [36,37,38,39].…”
