An effective sensitivity analysis methodology for the reliability‐based structural optimization design to high temperature components

Abstract: Most of physical parameters of high temperature components are usually correlated with the temperature parameter, which makes the reliability-based structural optimization design more complicated. So far, few efficient sensitivity analysis methods adapted to highly nonlinear performance function with correlated non-normal variables have been invented. An effective simulation approach is presented to perform reliability sensitivity analysis with the aid of Cholesky factorization and curve fitting. Moreover, in … Show more

“…14,15 Considerable research efforts have been expended in the component sensitivity analysis and associated importance measures design and development. [16][17][18][19][20][21] Despite the rich literature on the sensitivity analysis of many mission-critical and safety-critical systems, to the best of our knowledge, no existing work has been devoted to WSN. In this paper, we first analyze link and node importance with respect to the infrastructure communication reliability of WSN systems.…”

“…Reliability-Based Design Optimization (RBDO) is a well-established field and deals mainly with selecting the best possible design at a specified level of safety. The question of reliability-based optimization was raised already more than fifty years ago [7], however, the research intensity in this area increased considerably within the last two decades [8][9][10]. Despite all these efforts, optimization algorithms combined with reliability analysis procedures are still confined to academic type of examples.…”
