An Enhanced Multipath Strategy in Mobile Ad Hoc Routing Protocols

Abstract: The various routing protocols in Mobile Ad hoc Networks follow different strategies to send the information from one node to another. The nodes in the network are non static and they move randomly and are prone to link failure which makes always to find new routes to the destination. This research mainly focused on the study of the characteristics of multipath routing protocols in MANETS. Two of the multipath routing protocols were investigated and a comparative study along with simulation using NS2 was done b… Show more

“…A comparative study is made based on performance metrics like packets delivery ratio and packets dropped [4]. The author has done a comparative study with simulation using NS2 between DSR and AODV routing protocol to overcome a load of nodes, and simulation shows the comparative performance of the routing protocols, and SONET is proposed for efficient routing scheme [5]. The triple-factor approach has a very similar security feature w.r.t.…”

“…In the network each node plays a dual role as a host by the forwarding and as a router in routing packets to the destination. Maintaining security is an important function of any of the routing protocol in each phase of the networking function [1]. Because of the non-static topological behaviour of the network and due to being the network open which allows the network to grow and shrink due to addition and deletion of the nodes anytime gives chance for the intruder nodes to disturb the normal routing process.…”
