This systematic review focuses at determinants of economic growth in East Africa, covering those factors that help or hinder the economic growth of the region. The research thus underlines serious requirements for growth in the economy of East Africa with emphasis placed on the poorest continent in the world. It also underscores the dual challenge facing the countries of East Africa in driving high economic growth while managing fast-growing populations.
