This study is fo cused on fac tors in fluenc ing the choice of the reg is tra tion agency; prob lems with reg is tra tion agen cies; sat is fac tion level with the reg is tra tion agen cies and the use of train ing and con sul tancy in achiev ing the cer tif i ca tion.De sign/meth od ol ogy/ap proach: Postal sur vey was used in this study to gather the re quired data from a sam ple size of 40 cer ti fied large ho tels in Egypt. The sam ple was drawn from a list pro vided by ISO 9000 cer tif i ca tion of fice in Egypt. A re sponse rate of 60% was achieved.Find ings: The cer ti fied ho tels in Egypt per formed well in their reg is tra tion pro cess and bene fited from ISO im ple men ta tion. They were us ing their regis tra tion agen cies for pri vate con sul tancy and it has been rec om mended that they should avoid us ing their reg is tra tion agen cies for pri vate con sul tancy as this cre ates con flict of in ter est and con sti tutes a vi o la tion of ISO 62.Orig i nal ity/value: Adds to the body of knowl edge con cern ing the ISO 9000 reg is tra tion agen cies in the ser vice sec tor with par tic u lar fo cus on Egypt.
