“…Service learning has been integrated into a variety of dietetics courses (Arnold, Knopf, Walsh, & Fox, 2012;Haley-Zitlin et al, 2010;Heiss et al, 2012;Stephenson et al, 2011), providing opportunities to apply content from coursework in real-life work settings. Service-learning opportunities have included clinical applications (Heiss et al, 2012), food service experience (Fogleman, Nordyke, & Sharp, 2013;Heiss et al, 2012), and applications in a variety of community settings, including Cooperative Extension (Holston & O'Neil, 2007), food banks (Bonilla, 2009), and schools (Robinson, Paxton-Aiken, Marques, & Jackson, 2013;Solari, 2014).
