An Extended Fuzzy CPT-TODIM Model Based on Possibility Theory and its Application to Air Target Dynamic Threat Assessment

Abstract: Dynamic target threat assessment can be regarded as a classical multiple attribute group decision-making (MAGDM) issue. Triangular fuzzy numbers (TIFNs) can fully describe imprecise and fuzzy information for target threat assessment. Thus, to consider the changing trend of target detection information in a certain period and the influence of commanders' psychological factors on target threat assessment results, this study proposes an extended CPT-TODIM method based on possibility theory (PT-CPT-TODIM) to solve… Show more

“…The advantages and disadvantages of each method are caused by its theoretical basis, which is detailed in Table 1. Among them, dynamic target threat assessment methods based on fuzzy MADM, which have a good ability to represent uncertainty and to directly calculate the threat degree, have received extensive attention [13][14][15][16][17]. Follow-up studies are also based on this model.…”

“…In previous studies [31], threat indicators in confrontation problems were comprehensively considered, and the AHP method was used to empower threat assessment indicators to solve threat assessment problems in naval battlefields. Zhao et al [32] carried out triangulation fuzzy processing on threat indicators and used the CRITIC weight method to objectively weight indicators to solve the problem of dynamic target threat assessment. With the deepening of the research, when solving the problem of multi-target threat assessment, the single weight calculation method cannot achieve comprehensive analysis of the target.…”
